After graduation I played co-ed volleyball until 2014, I was an assistant volleyball coach for the high school JV team 1999-2001. In 2002 I was asked to coach the 8th grade girls’ volleyball team and the girls JV softball team. I coached 8th grade from 2002-2014 and it was the best time I ever had. I also, assistant coached for the Varsity team for 3 years. This is my 3rd year coaching at CVVC, I love teaching young athletes, on how to become better players and teammates. I love seeing the improvement in young volleyball players. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of a great program.
Brit Murphy
My name is Brit Murphy. I was born and raised in Jackson, WY, where I played high school, club, and Junior Olympic volleyball from middle school through graduation. My dog, Leo, and I moved to Bozeman in 2011 to attend Montana State University, where I received my BS in Psychology, including a minor in Sports Coaching. [GO CATS, GO!] I began coaching for Big Sky Volleyball Club in 2012, where I coached each year until this past season. I took a year off of coaching due to a couple of moves, and cannot wait to be back in the gym again! I believe that no one player can win a volleyball game alone. The will to win is important, but the total development of each individual towards a common goal is far more important. I believe that developing individuals to function successfully as a team is the key element to a notable season. My coaching philosophy is to coach in a positive way that promotes confidence and self-worth in my players. I will be coaching the 14A team, and am excited to share my volleyball passion and experience with my new club family this season!
Ashley Newell

My name is Ashley Newell. I was born and raised in the Mojave Desert. I played volleyball in junior high and high school. I moved to NewellMontana in 2006 to attend MSU and become a bobcat. We own a construction company in the Gallatin Valley. This year I took a break from teaching to help manage our company. There are so many great things to do in our beautiful state and I love being outside, riding horses, but volleyball is by far may favorite activity. I believe that athletics enhances you as a person and enhances leadership, teamwork, and work ethic. I am very excited to coach for CVVC this year and look forward to many wonderful opportunities with my team and our club as a whole.

Johnni Meirhofer

My name is Johnni Meirhofer, I was born in California but moved to Montana at the young age of 5 so consider my self a native to Montana. I graduated from ManJ_Meirhoferhattan High School in 2008, after graduating I went right to work in a preschool in Bozeman and have loved teaching the youngest generation for the last 8 years! I met my husband Jeremy in 2009 and we got married in 2012.  This will be my third year coaching with Central Valley Volleyball. Before coaching volleyball I coached softball in Manhattan for several years. As a coach I have always tried to not only enhance the athlete’s playing ability, but also teach them the importance of working as a team, showing up and working hard, skills that they can carry with them long after the last play. Outside of coaching I enjoy being outside and enjoying this wonderful state we live, going to concerts, camping and all that goes with it! I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I’m looking forward to this season and I can’t wait to get to know the girls and make some fun memories together!

Hi Central Valley – I’m Lindsey. I grew up in Ogden, UT where I first fell in love with volleyball. I played throughout middle school and high school and played on competitive USAV teams. I then played at Carroll College in Helena for a couple of years before I started coaching. In my volleyball career, I’ve played outside hitter, middle blocker, defensive specialist, and opposite. Since 2008, I have coached 16 teams in Helena, Manhattan, and Bozeman. I married my husband, Jesse, in the fall of 2016. I took about a year off from coaching for our wedding and to enjoy being newlyweds.
I moved to Bozeman after I graduated in 2010 with a double major in Business and Health & Physical Education. I currently work in the Home Office at Murdoch’s as an eMerchandising SEO Specialist. When I’m not working or in the gym playing or coaching, I love to spend time outdoors with Jesse and Niko, our dog. On the weekends you can find us hiking, backpacking, fishing, and exploring. I love reading, game nights with friends, going to concerts and rodeos, travelling, and going to weddings.  I am so excited to get back to coaching – I love sharing my knowledge, love, and passion of the game and watching the girls learn and grow. Here’s to a great season!
